Walk 17 minutes north-northeast to Kelvingrove Park. Stroll through the grounds laid out in the 1850s. The River Kelvin runs through here, offering a peaceful break before the main event. The park is open all day.

Head to the SEC Armadillo. Arrive just as the sun sets toward the southwest at 16:15. The building’s shiny metal exterior catches the final golden light, which begins around 15:05. This is the moment to see the structure that locals have nicknamed for its resemblance to ship's hulls.

End your evening with dinner at Mother India. This original chain restaurant, established in 1990, is pricier than most but offers top-class quality. It is open until 21:30, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a meal after the sunset.
Local tip
The SEC Armadillo box office is only open Monday to Friday from 9AM to 2PM, so check the route for any evening events if you plan to go inside.
