Timeline

  1. 10:00

    Glasgow Cathedral

Enter the cathedral at 10:00, when the doors open. This is the quietest time to appreciate the medieval Gothic architecture and the crypt of St Mungo before the day visitors arrive.

  2. 10:15

    Drygate

Walk five minutes to Drygate, the micro-brewery pub at the west end of the Wellpark site. The taproom is open daily from 11 AM, so arrive just in time for a local pint with views into the brewery.

  3. 11:00

    Wellpark Brewery

Head to Wellpark Brewery for a tour. As the largest brewery in Scotland, it is the place to see how Tennent's Lager is made. Tours run Wed-Sun, so check the route for the specific time slot if visiting on a weekday.

Local tip

The cathedral is free to enter but closes for lunch between 12:00 and 13:00. Drygate is open daily, making it a reliable stop regardless of the day.
