Take the taxi or local bus from Gimcheon Station to the Buhang‐myeon area. Get off at the “Buhang Dam” bus stop or drive along Buhang-dam-gil. Arrive early to secure a good spot and check the bridge hours.

  2. 17:06

    Buhang Dam Suspension Bridge

Walk onto the suspension bridge. At 256 meters long, it is one of Korea’s longest suspension bridges over water. The early afternoon light is still bright, but the views of the lake and hills are clear. The bridge is open until 17:00 in winter, so you have time to cross back or wait near the entrance.

  3. 17:36

    Buhang Dam Suspension Bridge

Watch the sun sink toward the WSW. The golden light from 16:58 will have already washed over the reservoir. The bridge closes at 17:00 in December and February, so ensure you are off the structure or at the edge before the final hour strikes. The sunset at 17:36 provides the final color show.

Local tip

The bridge hours are strict in winter. Check the 09:00–17:00 closing time for December and February to avoid being caught on the bridge after dark.
