Eat dinner at Shanta's Puri Shop. Order the dhalpuri or a curry to get energy for the walk. The shop is open until 18:00, so you have plenty of time before the sun sets.
17:30
Walk 22 minutes from the museum to National Park. This is the best spot to watch the sunset as it sets toward the WSW. The park retains old colonial flair and offers a quiet place to settle in.
17:55
Watch the sunset. The golden light starts at 17:25 and the sun dips at 17:55. Enjoy the view from the park adjacent to the Everest Cricket Club.
18:35
End the night with a drink or late snack at JR Burgers. It is located near National Park and stays open until 23:00. Try the ice coffees or milkshakes to cool down after the evening heat.
Local tip
Keep an eye on your belongings in the park and on the walk. The sun sets quickly, so arrive at National Park with enough time to find a good spot.
