Buy your ticket and enter The Habitat. The jungle trails are well-constructed and the air is cooler up here. Head straight for the Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk.

Stand on the Curtis Crest. This elevated semi-circular platform is the highest of its kind in Penang. Look out toward the Malacca Straits as the golden light begins to spill over the landscape. The Langur Way Canopy Walk is also open if you want to feel like you are inside the forest canopy.

Watch the sun set toward the WSW. The view from the crest offers a panoramic bird's eye view of the city and the vast expanse of the straits.

Walk down from the peak to the main Penang Hill area. Enjoy the fresher air and the final fading light over the city below.
Local tip
The Habitat is open from 09:00 to 19:00. Make sure you arrive with enough time to reach the top before sunset.
Check before you go
- The Habitat opens at 09:00 and closes at 19:00. Sunset on 15 January is at 19:23, so you must be inside and on the trails before closing time.
