    Le Fix

Start with a coffee and a pastry at Le Fix. It is a short walk from the garden and opens early, giving you time to settle in before the afternoon rush.

  2. 16:30

    Jardin botanique

Head to the Jardin botanique. Enter through the main gates at the corner of Rue de Lausanne and Avenue de la Paix. Walk north into the zoo area to find a quiet bench or spot among the trees. The northern part of the park offers a clear view toward the west as the day winds down.

    Jardin botanique

Stay put for the sunset. On 15 January the sun sets at 17:15 toward the WSW. The golden light begins around 16:27, casting a warm glow over the Alpine and tropical plants in the garden.

  4. 18:00

    UN Port

End the evening with dinner at UN Port. It is a short walk from the garden and serves food until 22:00. The restaurant is open every day, making it a reliable stop after the cold evening air.

Local tip

The garden is free, but the zoo area is large. Bring a warm layer as it gets chilly after sunset in January.
