Timeline
16:30
Grab a coffee or a light bite at La Clémence. It is a cozy bar in the old town that opens at 11:00, so it is ready for you well before the golden hour begins.
17:00
Walk to Parc des Bastions. The giant chessboards and statues of Calvinist founding fathers are best seen in the fading light. Find a spot on the terrace or near the chessboards to settle in.
17:15
Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a warm glow over the park and the city skyline.
17:45
Head back to La Clémence for a nightcap. The terrace is still open until 00:00, and it is a perfect place to reflect on the view.
Local tip
The park is open all day, but the light changes quickly. Arrive with enough time to find a good spot.
