Take the chair lift to the top of Mont-Béchervaise. The view opens up toward the west, setting the stage for the final minutes of daylight.

Stay at the summit to watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a final glow over the landscape.

Take the lift back down. The chalet closes at 15:00, so you will need to have already exited the main facility or be prepared for limited options inside once it closes. Check the route for your next stop.
Local tip
The ski centre has abbreviated opening hours and few onsite amenities. Downtown Gaspé is a short drive away if you want to find dinner and a drink after dark.
Check before you go
- Mont-Béchervaise is open Fr-Su 09:00-15:00. The lift stops running at 15:00, well before the 15:49 sunset in January. Ensure you are prepared to stay at the top or have transport arranged if you plan to watch the sunset from the summit, as you cannot take the lift down after closing.
