Arrive at the Fort Prével Golf Club to claim a viewing spot. The course is open early in July, allowing you to access the grounds before the sun breaks the horizon. The WWII-era ruins offer natural perches for watching the light shift over the mountains and sea.
04:30
Watch the sunrise. On July 15, the sun rises at 04:30. Stand near the fairways or the historic fortifications to catch the first rays illuminating the Gaspé-Percé coastline. The early morning light provides a stark, beautiful contrast against the green links.
07:00
Enjoy a quiet moment or a round of golf as the day begins. The course is fully operational by mid-morning, and the golden light continues to enhance the view. If you have not played, you can still walk the perimeter to take in the full breadth of the scenery in the bright morning light.
Local tip
The golf club opens at 8AM in high season. Arriving two hours before sunrise ensures you have time to park and find a good spot without rushing. The early July sunrise is very early, so plan for a late night or an early rest.
