Timeline

  1. 16:32

    Yakiniku Hachihachi

Grab a yakitori skewer or a drink at Yakiniku Hachihachi. It opens at 16:00, so you will be there an hour before the sun dips below the horizon. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for settling in before the main event.

  2. 17:17

    Itazuke Ruins Yayoi-kan Museum

Walk to the Itazuke Ruins Yayoi-kan Museum. The reconstructed houses and ancient rice paddies look striking in the fading light. Find a spot near the open fields where the western sky is visible.

  3. 17:32

    Itazuke Ruins Yayoi-kan Museum

Watch the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting long shadows across the archaeological site. The golden light from 16:55 will have just peaked, giving the ruins a warm, historical glow before the sky turns blue.

  4. 18:17

    Yakiniku Hachihachi

Head back to Yakiniku Hachihachi for dinner. The evening crowds are small, and the grilled meat is a satisfying end to a walk through history. The restaurant stays open until 01:00, so there is no rush.
