Grab a coffee or hot drink at Chalk in the park. It is right next to Southwood Country Park and opens at 08:00, so it will be ready for you.

Walk into Southwood Country Park. Head toward Rafborough Marshes to see the mixed wetland and woodland at the source of Cove Brook. It is a peaceful 40-minute walk from the anchor, but since you are already there, just explore the easternmost part.
14:00
End your walk with a meal at The Crab & Anchor. It serves freshly prepared Great British pub grub. Note that because food is cooked to order, service can be slower than average, so take your time.
Local tip
The Crab & Anchor is open Tuesday to Saturday from 12:00 to 23:00 and Sunday from 12:00 to 22:30. Chalk in the park closes at 17:00, so plan your drink before then.
