    Kaleko mølle

Visit Kaleko mølle. Arrive right when it opens at 10:00 to explore Denmark's oldest functioning watermill before the crowds arrive. The museum is free and offers a deep dive into 1800s mill life.

  2. 14:21

    Faaborg Røgeri Café

Head to Faaborg Røgeri Café for lunch. The smokehouse turns on its ovens at 11:00 in the summer season, but it is open daily from 11:00 to 17:00 year-round. Order a dish of their locally smoked fish to enjoy while the light is still good.

  3. 15:42

    Klinten Strand

Walk to Klinten Strand. This beach access point is just a short stroll from the café. Find a spot on the sand or the wooden walkways to watch the sky change color. The sun sets toward the SW, offering a clear view over the water.

Local tip

Kaleko mølle is closed except for the last 100 years of its history, so the museum hours (10:00-15:00) are strict. Plan your lunch at the smokehouse between 11:00 and 15:00 to ensure it is open.
