Timeline
15:06
Grab a coffee and a sweet treat at Soze kaffe og risteri. They roast their own beans in-house and serve tapas if you need something more substantial before the walk.
15:36
Walk up to Faaborg Museum. The Funen painters were drawn to this landscape, so it is the perfect place to see how the late 1800s artists interpreted the local light. The gallery is open until 16:00, so you have time to browse the paintings before the sun gets low.
16:01
Head down to Klinten Strand. The two wooden walkways lead you down from the cliffs to the sandy beach. This is your spot for the sunset. The sun sets toward the SW, offering a clear view over the water.
16:36
Walk back up to Faaborg Røgeri Café. If it is the summer season (April to October), the smoke ovens are running and you can smell the fresh fish. Order a warm beverage or a slice of ice cream to enjoy the afterglow.
Local tip
The museum closes at 16:00, so arrive there before then. The sunset is at 16:21, leaving just enough time to see the last of the light inside before heading out to the beach.
