Timeline
10:00
Arrive at Vesterport. This is the only surviving gate from Faaborg's medieval walls, built around 1470. It was once unpopular with locals because you had to pay to enter and it was closed in the evenings, but it stands as a sturdy reminder of the town's fortified past.
10:15
Walk three minutes to Flow sustainable living. This café is made from pallets and upcycled materials. Grab a coffee or a smoothie here; the space sells ceramics and beauty products alongside the drinks.
10:45
Head seven minutes north to Føtex. This large supermarket has a bakery and butcher shop inside. You can pick up fresh bread or local snacks to take with you.
11:00
Walk twelve minutes to Moseparken. This park features a small lake, grassy areas, and various trees. Look for the enclosed area where sheep sometimes graze, and head toward the other end to see the scout hut and allotments.
Local tip
Flow sustainable living is open Tuesday through Thursday and Friday from 11:00, but Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 14:00. If you arrive on a weekend, aim for the earlier Saturday slot to avoid the lunch rush.
