Timeline
15:43
Start with a late lunch at La Prima Dea. The restaurant is open from 12:00 to 15:00 and 18:30 to 23:00 daily, so you have time to enjoy their traditional Erice recipes before the evening rush. Note that the restaurant is closed from 11 November to 20 December, so this plan works best in the warmer months or outside that window.
16:33
Walk five minutes to Caffè del Balio in the Balio Gardens. This seasonal café offers shaded outdoor tables with panoramic views over the countryside. It is the perfect spot to grab a granita or a cold drink and soak in the atmosphere before the sun goes down.
17:13
Stay in the Balio Gardens to watch the sunset. The public gardens face WSW, aligning perfectly with the sun setting on 15 January. Enjoy the terraces, fountains, and Mediterranean plants as the golden light fades.
Local tip
The Balio Gardens are a peaceful spot to end the day. If you want to stretch your legs, the Erice Adventure Park is nearby, but it is a 42-minute walk away.
