Park at the Nomads Picnic area and start the 2 km return walk. Follow the formed track, preparing for the final 200 metres which involve many steps and a steep 5 m ladder climb. Bring your own water as there are no facilities at the top.

Reach the lookout platform. Settle in to enjoy the 360-degree panoramic views while the golden light at 19:22 begins to paint the landscape. The sun sets toward the WSW.

Descend the trail back to the picnic area. Use the picnic tables or shelter for a rest as the evening cools down.
Local tip
The last part of the trail is steep with a ladder. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. The lookout is open daily from 07:00 to 19:00.
Check before you go
- The lookout closes at 19:00. On 15 January, sunset is at 19:56, so you must leave the lookout before closing time or ensure you are off the ladder and descending well before 19:00.
