Grab a picnic basket from Café Brohus. The yellow bridge house sits right by the moat, and the baskets are designed for enjoying the green surroundings. The menu includes toast, sandwiches, and pizza buns if you prefer hot food.

Walk 37 minutes northeast to the model of Kronborg Castle. This scale model offers a perfect vantage point to orient yourself. Position yourself to face southwest as the golden light hits the castle walls, building up to the sunset.
16:07
Stay at the model for the sunset itself. The sun sets toward the southwest, casting a final glow on the castle structure you are viewing. The cold January air makes the warmth of the earlier picnic basket feel even better.

Head to Bistro Francophile for dinner. This newly opened French bistro offers a changing menu at reasonable prices. It is a short walk from the castle area, and the Prix Fixe three-course meal is a solid choice for an evening meal.
17:07
Finish the evening with a drink at Borgerkroen. This classic Danish working-class pub has outdoor seating on a small patio facing the harbour. It is a relaxed spot to digest your meal and watch the night settle over the water.
