Start at De Vooruitgang for a drink on the terrace. It is a long-time favorite with the best terrace in the city. The café is open from 11:00, so you have plenty of time to settle in before the light shifts.
16:13
Walk five minutes to Soho for a quick bite. This popular spot serves Asian stir-fry dishes in a simple, fast-food style. It is open until 22:00, making it a reliable stop before heading to the viewing spot.
16:58
Head to the Philips Museum to catch the sunset. The museum is located in the historic first factory in the heart of the city. While the building itself is the anchor, the surrounding area offers views as the sun sets toward the SW. The museum closes at 17:00, so you will be inside or just outside as the golden light peaks at 16:01 and the sun dips at 16:58.
17:58
End the evening at O-Sheas. This pub just off the main square has a great atmosphere and serves great beer. If it is a weekend, live music starts after 22:30. The pub is open until 02:00 on weekdays and 04:00 on weekends.
Local tip
De Vooruitgang is often busy, so arrive early for the terrace. Soho is a casual take-away spot, perfect for a quick, warm meal before the chill of the evening.
