Timeline
12:40
Start with a simple lunch at Sattgrün. The buffet offers fresh, homemade options like stews and soups, providing a calm start to the afternoon before the crowds arrive.
13:20
Walk to Pardo’s for a late afternoon coffee or light bite. It is a breakfast spot that stays open into the afternoon, offering a quiet corner to rest before the main walk.
14:00
Head to the Medienhafen viewpoint. This is the newest landmark of Düsseldorf, a transformed harbour quarter with striking architecture along the Rhine promenade. It is the perfect spot to watch the light change on the water and the modern buildings.
14:40
End the walk at Kleinhaus. It is a pizza restaurant located near the waterfront area, a convenient and casual place to finish your outing with a slice while reflecting on the view.
Local tip
The Medienhafen area is best explored on foot. The walk from the lunch spots to the viewpoint is short and flat. If you prefer a hot meal over pizza at the end, Maruyasu is an excellent Japanese option nearby, but it closes at 20:00, so time your visit accordingly.
