Timeline

  1. 16:06

    O'Neill's

Grab a pre-dinner pint at O'Neill's. This Victorian-style pub is just a short walk from the landmark and offers an excellent atmosphere to settle in before the evening begins. Their weekend lunchtime carvery is famous, but even on weekdays, the food and drink are solid.

  2. 16:36

    Croke Park Stadium

Walk to Croke Park Stadium. It is a 39-minute walk from the Gaiety Theatre area towards the NNE. Arrive exactly at sunset to take in the view of the stadium grounds as the light fades. The sun sets toward the SW, providing a dramatic backdrop against the open fields.

  3. 17:21

    Belvedere Grill

Head to Belvedere Grill for dinner. Located just a 16-minute walk from Croke Park, this regional restaurant is a perfect spot to wind down after exploring. It offers superb Dublin city centre dining in a relaxed setting, ideal for an evening meal after dark.

  4. 18:06

    Bewley's Café

Finish the night at Bewley's Café. Return to the city centre area (a short walk from the landmark) to this grand, stylish coffee shop. It is a Dublin institution that feels just as important late in the evening as it does in the day, offering a calm end to a busy night out.

Local tip

Check the route from Croke Park back to the city centre if you are tired. The walk from the stadium is longer than the city centre spots, so plan your energy accordingly.

Check before you go
