    Fürstenzug

Find the Fürstenzug. This 102-meter long mural depicts Saxon rulers and is made of over 23,000 Meissen porcelain tiles. It faces roughly west, so the setting sun will hit the tiles directly, making the colors pop against the evening sky.

  2. 20:15

    Watzke Brauereiausschank am Goldenen Reiter

Walk to Watzke Brauereiausschank am Goldenen Reiter. This is one of Dresden’s best spots for traditional Saxon cuisine and their own-brewed beer. It is a lively, authentic regional restaurant that fits the post-sunset vibe perfectly.

  3. 21:15

    Augustiner an der Frauenkirche

Finish the night at Augustiner an der Frauenkirche. Just a short walk away, this German restaurant serves famous Munich beer alongside Bavarian and Saxon dishes. It is open late, making it a comfortable end to the evening.

Local tip

The Fürstenzug is located in the Zwinger Palace complex. The walk from the mural to Watzke is about 11 minutes. Augustiner is only a 4-minute walk from Watzke.
