Timeline

  1. 18:30

    Tänzerin

Find the Tänzerin sculpture standing on the Elbe peninsula. Arrive before the golden light hits to get a clear view of the figure against the morning sky. The walk from the city center is brisk, so dress warmly.

  2. 19:15

    Tänzerin

Watch the golden light wash over the sculpture and the river. This is the peak moment for photography and quiet reflection before the day begins.

  3. 19:35

    Italienisches Dörfchen

Walk 8 minutes to the Italienisches Dörfchen. The baroque pavilions are quiet this early. Order a cake and a coffee to warm up. The prices are higher here, but the setting is unique.

  4. 20:10

    Zum Schießhaus

Head 8 minutes away to Zum Schießhaus. This farmhouse restaurant sits behind the opera house and offers a large, relaxing beer garden. It is a great spot to continue your morning with good food and Saxon atmosphere.
