Best time: sunsetAbout 45 min

Timeline

  1. 16:46

    Troubadour Tavern

Grab a turkey leg and a frozen lemonade from Troubadour Tavern. It is a classic park snack that keeps you fueled without a long sit-down wait. The walk from the Railroad station is short and easy.

  2. 17:01

    Disneyland Railroad

Head to the Disneyland Railroad platform. Find a spot on the bench or the edge of the platform facing west. The sun is setting toward the WSW, casting a long, golden glow across the tracks and the park entrance.

  3. 17:21

    The Golden Horseshoe

After the sun dips below the horizon, walk over to The Golden Horseshoe. The old-timey saloon setting feels cozier as the evening sets in. Order some chili or ice cream to finish the experience.

Local tip

The sun sets toward the WSW. Position yourself on the west side of the Railroad track for the best view. The golden light starts about 16:28, giving you a nice buffer before the actual sunset.
