Walk up the steps of the Colorado State Capitol. Stand where the words 'One Mile Above Sea Level' are engraved. The building is open until 17:00 on weekdays, so you can step inside if you like, but the real draw is the view and the altitude.

Head to the Liberty Bell replica just outside the Capitol. At sunset, the light hits the WSW, casting a warm glow on the dome and the bell. This is the peak moment for photos and soaking in the view.

End the evening back at City O City. It is open late, so you can stay for another drink or just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere as the city lights come on.
Local tip
The Capitol steps are steep. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket as it gets chilly after sunset.
