Timeline

  1. 18:38

    Crú Wine Bar

Start with a glass of wine at Crú Wine Bar. It is only a short walk from the anchor and opens at 15:00, so you can settle in early. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for watching the afternoon light shift before the golden hour begins.

  2. 19:23

    Colorado State Capitol

Walk east to the Colorado State Capitol. The building’s steps offer a clear, elevated view of the western horizon. Arrive fifteen minutes before the sun dips below the line. Look for the "One Mile Above Sea Level" engraving as you climb.

  3. 19:38

    Colorado State Capitol

Watch the sunset. On this date, the sun sets toward the WNW around 19:38. The golden light that started an hour earlier will have faded into the final colors of dusk. Stay for the quiet moment when the city lights begin to flicker on below you.

Local tip

The Capitol steps are a public space. If there is a crowd, move to the side to find a clear line of sight to the west. The walk from Crú Wine Bar is short and easy, but the steps up to the Capitol are steep.
