Walk 17 minutes east-southeast to 대전 한밭수목원. This is the quieter, more extensive version of the nearby arboretum. It is a great place to stretch your legs and enjoy the greenery without the crowds of the larger Expo Park.

End the outing with a parfait at Work Room Coffe. The fresh fruit parfaits are the highlight here, and the modern black interior provides a calm spot to digest your sweets. It stays open until 23:00.
Local tip
Mimi Dessert is very close to the sports center. If you want to avoid the queue, go straight to the back entrance or ask for takeaway if you plan to walk to the park.
