Timeline
16:45
Grab a coffee or a light bite at Organika Bakery y Cafe. The space is modern and bright, a good contrast to the evening chill, and they offer drinks brewed via chemex or French press.
17:25
Walk to the Plaza de San Francisco. This is the spot to wait for the golden light. The plaza is next to the main market, offering a traditional backdrop as the sun sets toward the west.
17:45
Watch the sun dip below the horizon. The light fades quickly, but the plaza remains a calm place to observe the transition from day to night.
18:15
Head to Victor Victoria for dinner. It is a reliable choice for a hearty meal, featuring a salad bar buffet included with main dishes. The garlic trout is a standout if you are there for lunch, but the general menu offers great value.
19:00
Take a pickup from Plaza Regocijo to the Planetario Cuzco. Arrive just in time for the 18:00 showing. The dome presentation explains Inka astronomy and the southern sky, providing a perfect end to the evening.
Local tip
The Planetario shows start at 18:00 sharp. Since the walk from the plaza area to the pickup point can be tricky, allow plenty of time to find the driver. Tickets are S/75.
