Timeline

  1. 09:00

    Crawford Historical Museum

Visit the Crawford Historical Museum. It is free and open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM between mid-May and mid-October. This is the best time to go as it opens right when you do, ensuring a quiet experience.

  2. 09:45

    Frontier Restaurant and Bar

Walk one minute to Frontier Restaurant and Bar for a coffee or a light drink. It is a well-kept establishment just off the main square. Note that bikers are common here in the summer, so expect some noise.

  3. 10:45

    Staab's Drive-In

Walk 14 minutes to Staab's Drive-In. This vintage-style spot is locally famous for its fried chicken and curly fries. Check that it is still in season, as it operates from March through November.

  4. 11:30

    Finnegan Park

End your walk at Finnegan Park, just 5 minutes from the museum. It is a quiet green space to rest your feet and reflect on the history you just learned.

Local tip

The museum is closed on Sundays. If you are visiting in the winter (outside of May-October), the museum will be closed, so you might want to skip straight to the food stops.
