Walk through Kennedy Park while the late afternoon light is still soft. The park is named after JFK and offers a quiet green space before the evening rush.

Head to Market Lane for a substantial lunch. This bustling two-storey Irish restaurant gets great reviews for its food and has a GF selection. It is open from 12:00, so you will have plenty of time to eat before the sun sets.
17:22
Stroll over to Bell's Field as the sun dips below the horizon. The sky will be turning deep blue and the city lights will start to twinkle.

End the night at Costigan's Pub. It is a lively spot with a big selection of whiskey and spirits. You can watch TV sport if you like, or just enjoy the atmosphere as the night settles in.
Local tip
Costigan's gets busy in the evening, but there is enough room to find a spot. If you prefer a quieter drink, New Bar is a short walk away and opens early, but Costigan's offers more character for a night out.
