Take the Canal Tour green route to Trekroner. The boat is the only way to reach the 18th-century fort. Arrive early to explore the military buildings and fortifications while the light is still bright.
15:58
Head to the café inside the renovated building for a warm drink. It is the best place to wait out the final minutes before the sun dips below the horizon over Øresund.
16:08
Stand by the water and watch the sun set toward the southwest. The golden light reflects off the harbor as the day ends.
16:28
Board the return Canal Tour boat. The journey back offers a final, quiet look at the city skyline from the water as night falls.
Local tip
Trekroner is only accessible in summer via the Canal Tour green route. The fort is closed outside of summer months. Admission to the fort is free, but the boat costs 35 kr.
