Walk into Dyrehaven. This forest park covers around 11 km². Head toward the northern boundary at Jægersborg Hegn. You will pass Eremitageslottet, a small royal hunting castle on a hilltop.

Find a spot in the northern part of the park. The sun sets toward the SW. In winter (January) this is low and dramatic. In spring (April) it sets WNW. In summer (July) it is high and long-lasting. In autumn (October) it sets WSW. Watch the light fade over the trees.

End your evening with a gentle ride on a pony. If you have small children, you can rent tiny ponies that they can ride while you walk beside them. It is a calm way to leave the park.
