Arrive at Pixieland Amusement Park when the afternoon crowds are thin. It is a small park for young children featuring a train, carousel, and other rides. Remember to pack a picnic if you wish, as outside food is allowed but alcohol and grills are not.

Walk 15 minutes to Bambino's Italian Restaurant and Bar for lunch. Check that you arrive before their closing time, which is 21:00 on weekdays and 22:00 on weekends.

Return to Pixieland for a second look or to let the kids burn off some energy. The park is small enough that you can easily pop back in.
Local tip
Pixieland is designed for toddlers to age 8. If your children are older, you might prefer the sports bar atmosphere at Legends & Heroes near Diablo Creek Golf Course instead.
