Walk 11 minutes to Fika Deli. Inspired by the Scandinavian tradition of fika, this specialty coffee and food space is designed for slowing down. It is open from 07:30 to 23:30, so it is fully available for an afternoon break.
13:30
Head to Mango Tree, a nine-minute walk away. One of the finest restaurants in the city, it serves North Indian cuisine full of innovative dishes. Note that service is occasionally slow, so take your time. It is open from 12:00 to 15:00 and 19:00 to 23:00.
14:00
End your loop at St Lucia's Cathedral. The seat of the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Colombo, it sits in the northeast of the city. You can reach it by checking the route from the restaurant area.
Local tip
Mango Tree is open until 15:00 for lunch, so aim to be seated by then. The walk between Viharamahadevi Park and the cathedral is long (62 minutes), so this route keeps you in the central cluster of spots near the park first.
