Timeline

  1. 12:00

    Neptunbad

Arrive at Neptunbad in Ehrenfeld. This renovated bath features a Japanese-style sauna landscape and a fitness centre. It is the perfect way to begin your day with relaxation before the crowds arrive.

  2. 13:00

    Lizbät

Walk two minutes to Lizbät for a crepe. The venue opens at 12:00 on weekdays and weekends, making it an ideal spot for a late lunch. Choose from vegetarian, vegan, meat, or sweet options and enjoy the nice beer garden if the weather permits.

  3. 14:00

    Hohenzollern Bridge

Take the 54-minute walk from Neptunbad (ESE) to the Hohenzollern Bridge. This spot is also known as the Locking Bridge. Walk along the straight path behind the Kölner Dom to reach the Rhine, where the bridge is covered in padlocks placed by visitors over the years.

Local tip

The walk to the bridge is long. If you prefer a shorter route, check the transport options from Ehrenfeld to the Dom area. For a meal after the bridge, Brauhaus Gaffel (8 min walk from the bridge) serves food and local Kölsch from 11:00 daily.

Check before you go
