Take a bus or minibus from the city south to Tolata, Punata, Cliza or Tarata to reach the lake. Arrive at Laguna La Angostura well before the sun dips below the horizon.

Find a spot near the shore to watch the golden light intensify. The hills around the lake provide a natural backdrop for the final minutes of daylight.

Enjoy the sunset. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a final glow over the water and the surrounding landscape.

Head to one of the villages around the lake, such as the ones mentioned in the local description, for a delicious grilled fish dinner. This is the best way to end the evening after dark.
Local tip
The area is best enjoyed by renting a paddleboat or jetski if you want to get out on the water before dinner, but simply walking the shore is equally rewarding.
