Arrive at Liujiang Old Town. The Ming and Qing era buildings are best photographed in the soft, fading light before the sun dips below the horizon. Walk along the riverside to find a quiet spot facing WSW.

  2. 17:54

    Liujiang Old Town

Watch the golden light wash over the ancient architecture. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting long shadows across the water. Stay until the light fades completely.

  3. 18:24

    Liujiang Old Town

After dark, explore the town’s quieter lanes. The contrast between the darkened river and the few lit windows creates a calm atmosphere. Check for local eateries that are open late.

Local tip

The town is quiet after sunset. Bring a light jacket as it gets cool by the water.
