Timeline
10:00
Arrive at the Tennessee Aquarium right when it opens at 10:00 on weekdays or 09:00 on weekends. The morning light is soft and the lines are short. Start with the River Journey building to see the otters and seahorses before the crowds arrive.
11:30
Walk 13 minutes north to Coolidge Park. Grab a sandwich at River Street Deli. It is a New York-style deli sitting right in the park. Order early to avoid the lunch crowd that gathers here. Enjoy your meal on the grass or at the tables while looking out at the Tennessee River.
12:00
Head 9 minutes northeast to the Bluff View Art District. Stop by Rembrandt's Coffee House for a coffee and a handmade chocolate or pastry. It is a comfortable spot to browse and rest after your walk.

Walk 6 minutes west to Ross's Landing. This is the historical site of the Cherokee's last occupation of Chattanooga. It offers a quiet place to reflect on the river's history before you head back.
