Timeline
19:00
Order a drink or light bite at The Bungalow. It opens at 11:00, so you have plenty of time to settle in before the sun starts to dip.
19:20
Walk 23 minutes south to Beta Beach. This is a quiet spot on the lower shore, perfect for getting comfortable before the main event. The walk is short and leads you away from the main bustle.
19:50
Move to the main stretch of Glen Beach. Find a spot on the sand facing west-southwest. The sun sets toward the WSW, giving you a clear view of the light fading over the water.
20:30
Walk 19 minutes south-southeast to The Little Glen Nature Area. It is a peaceful indigenous nature area with a recreational park on the lower portion, a calm place to end the evening as the light fades.
Local tip
The sand deposits at Glen Beach change with the seasons. In summer, it merges with Camps Bay, but in winter, storms erode the sand, narrowing the beach. Check the tide times if you plan to walk along the shore.
