    A mid-range vegan restaurant, and a rare sight in Canberra with delicious soy-based versions of everything. If you're not used to eating vegan cuisine but want to try, this place is a great place to start. Though this restaurant is in Canberra's de facto Chinatown, it's actually a Vietnamese restaurant, but there's plenty of other Southeast Asian dishes.

    A cozy, minimalist family-owned gem widely considered to serve the most authentic, rich Kyushu-style Tonkotsu ramen in Canberra. The elegant interior is detailed with traditional Japanese ikebana and nihonga decor. The kitchen slow-boils its signature creamy pork broth for 12 hours, serving up nine distinct bowls ranging from the classic 'Ramen Oh' and a bright yuzu tonkotsu to a dedicated vegan bowl ('Ramen Beautiful'). Don't skip the excellent pan-fried pork or vegetable gyoza. Online bookings are highly recommended as seats are limited.

    An entirely vegan bakery and café with a distinct rock-and-roll aesthetic, expanding to the northside from its original Braddon flagship. Tucked into a relaxed suburban shopping square, it draws a dedicated crowd for its 100% plant-based breakfast plates and Tex-Mex lunch specialties. Standouts include their enormous house-made vegan cinnamon scrolls, loaded burritos, and decadent custom cupcakes. Features plenty of casual indoor and outdoor courtyard seating. (While all food is strictly vegan, dairy milk is available as an optional alternative for coffee drinks).
