Timeline

  1. 13:00

    Cellarer's Chequer

Arrive at Cellarer's Chequer, the surviving 13th-century claustral building of Barnwell Priory. Take a moment to look at the Grade II* listed walls and imagine the Augustinian canons who lived here during the reign of King John.

  2. 13:15

    The Fort St George

Walk 13 minutes to The Fort St George. This historic pub overlooks the Cam and Midsummer Common and is a great spot for a pub lunch or Sunday roast.

  3. 14:00

    Selwyn College

After lunch, walk 40 minutes to Selwyn College. Founded in 1882, it is one of the newer colleges and features excellent examples of Gothic Revival architecture. Spend some time wandering the grounds away from the city centre hustle.
