Stop at Pastelaria Baía for a coffee and one of their famous cavacas (regional almond cookies). The outdoor tables by the thermal hospital offer a relaxed start to the evening.
17:12
Walk to Museu José Malhoa in Parque Dom Carlos I. Arrive with time to browse the 19th and 20th-century Portuguese naturalist works, including the Passion of Christ sculptures, before the light fades.

Head to Chafariz das Cinco Bicas. This grand baroque fountain is an ideal vantage point to watch the sun set toward the WSW. The five spigots and surrounding stars create a striking silhouette against the darkening sky.

End the night at Bar 120. Specializing in gin and toasted sandwiches, this pub has an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a nightcap under the stars.
