Timeline
16:30
Stop at Tops for a quick snack or drink. The store is open late, so you can grab what you need before the light fades.
16:42
Walk back toward the museum building. Use this time to admire the 1929 Esenwein & Johnson architecture and the 700,000 specimens inside if you have time.
17:03
Head south from the museum into Martin Luther King, Jr. Park. Find a spot near the Humboldt Basin or the rose garden. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting a warm glow over the Olmsted landscape.
Local tip
The park is part of Buffalo’s historic Olmsted network. Stay after the sun dips below the horizon to see the grounds settle into evening quiet.
