Walk 20 minutes WSW to the summit of Gellért Hill. This protected parkland offers the best vantage point. The hill faces ENE relative to the anchor, but the sunset is to the WSW, meaning you will have the sun in your field of view as it dips below the horizon.

Watch the sunset at 16:19. The sun sets toward the WSW, casting golden light over the city. This is the peak moment of the experience.

Walk 9 minutes down to Aranyszarvas Restaurant. It is a traditional restaurant with local cuisine located in the historic Deer House. It is open until 22:00, making it a perfect spot for dinner after the cold air on the hill.
Local tip
The walk up Gellért Hill is steep. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a layer for the wind at the summit.
