    Gellért Hill

Walk 14 minutes SSW to the summit of Gellért Hill. The climb is short but rewarding. Parkland surrounds the path, offering a quiet transition away from the city noise.

  3. 16:19

    Gellért Hill

Stand at the viewing edge facing WSW. At 16:19 the sun sets, casting golden light across the water. This is the core moment of the evening.

  4. 17:04

    For Sale Pub

Head to For Sale Pub at the bridgehead on Szabadság Bridge. It is a country-style pub with live music and free peanuts with your beer. It is a perfect, relaxed place to wind down after the view.

Local tip

The walk up Gellért Hill is steep in parts. Wear sturdy shoes. The pub is small, so if you arrive just after sunset it may be busy with other viewers finishing their walk.
