Walk to the Chantry Chapel. It is opposite the post office between Market Hill and West Street. Browse the second-hand bookshop inside the 15th-century chapel while the interior stays bright.

Stand outside the chapel and watch the sun set toward the WSW. The golden light from 17:23 will wash over the historic stone before the sky darkens.

End your evening at The Woolpack. The pub is just a short walk away and offers a large outdoor area backing onto the river, perfect for digesting your meal and watching the last of the light fade.
Local tip
The Woolpack serves Cask Marque Real Ales and has a range of bar food. It is open until 22:30 on Sundays and 24:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. The Chantry Chapel bookshop closes at 15:00, so visit the shop before the sunset moment.
