    Scarborough Park

Walk west from the Vanderlip-Street house to Scarborough Park. This small patch of green borders the Hudson River and offers gorgeous views across to the Palisades. It is one of the only riverside parts of Briarcliff, making it the perfect starting point for a west-facing walk.

    Dive Oyster House

Head to Dive Oyster House for a late lunch. Located near Law Memorial Park, this upscale white-linen seafood restaurant offers outdoor seating in the summer. The atmosphere is relaxed, and reservations are usually not necessary, allowing you to walk in and enjoy a sizable menu.

    Vanderlip-Street house

Return to the Vanderlip-Street house to admire the architecture. This Modernist house, designed by Wallace Harrison, was one of the first contemporary-style homes in Westchester. Seeing it again in the late afternoon light highlights the clean lines and historical significance of the structure.

Local tip
