Arrive at Black Swamp Preserve with forty minutes to spare. The nature reserve offers restrooms, water fountains, and educational boards on local wildlife. Use the time to walk the trails and find a quiet spot to watch the sky change color as the sun dips toward the WSW.

Stay for the sunset itself. The evening light fades quickly, so linger here while it lasts before the area gets dark.

Head to Pagliai's for dinner. This pizzeria offers an all-you-can-eat family buffet where you can choose from pizza and salad options. It is open late, making it a reliable stop after dark.

Finish the night at South Side 6. This tiny convenience store serves gyros and Mediterranean food with many vegetarian options. Note that the only place to eat on site is a small picnic area outside, so take your food there or grab a drink to go.
Local tip
Black Swamp Preserve is open from 8AM until dusk. Make sure you leave before it closes if you plan to stay past sunset, as the gates will lock.
