Timeline

  1. 10:00

    Black Swamp Pub and Bistro

Grab an early lunch at Black Swamp Pub and Bistro. It is the only place on campus to buy alcohol, but it also serves higher-end dining and mocktails. Arrive by 11:30 to beat the rush and enjoy a meal before the afternoon crowds arrive.

  2. 11:00

    STEM in the Park

Walk to STEM in the Park. The event promotes science, technology, engineering, and math to youth with exhibits on robotics, food science, and digital media. You can also see demos from the Toledo Zoo and Imagination Station. Live music with local bands adds to the atmosphere.

  3. 13:00

    Bridge Over Troubled Waters

End your visit at Bridge Over Troubled Waters. This 14 ft tall memorial commemorates the events of May 4th, 1970, at Kent State University. It is a sister sculpture to a piece pierced by a tear gas canister. The quiet reflection here provides a meaningful conclusion to your day of learning.
