Timeline

  1. 12:30

    Trident Booksellers and Cafe

Start with a quiet coffee and a browse at Trident Booksellers and Cafe. It is an excellent neighborhood bookstore with a cafe that does brisk business, perfect for settling in before heading out.

  2. 13:00

    Christian Science Center

Walk to the Christian Science Center. This strikingly beautiful site stretches out over almost 15 of the most expensive acres of land Boston has to offer. The Mother Church (1894) and its enormous extension (1906) are architecturally significant, seeming to flow into one another. It is free and open 24/7, offering a quiet space to walk and reflect.

  3. 14:30

    Bukowski Tavern

End your afternoon with a drink at Bukowski Tavern. This long-running boozy spot has a top notch beer list and excellent mixed drinks. It is a narrow, deep, and almost windowless space where you can ask to 'spin the wheel' if you can't decide what to order.
