Grab a coffee or a treat to go. P.S. Gourmet Coffee is open late into the evening, so you can pick up a warm drink or a raspberry lime rickey to hold while you walk.

Walk up to Dorchester Heights. The park is open from sunrise to sunset, so you will have plenty of time to find a quiet spot with a view of the harbor and the city skyline as the light fades.

Head to Telegraph Hill for a drink. This laid-back sports bar is just a short walk from the monument. It is a great place to settle in after the cold evening air, with craft beers and a cozy atmosphere.
Local tip
The walk from the monument to Telegraph Hill is gentle and well-lit. If you prefer a meal before your drink, Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant is also very close by and serves American gastropub food until late.
